Inbox placement monitoring

Email deliverability

Deliverability is not a setting. It is a reading that changes every day.

Delivered is not the same as in the inbox. A message can be accepted by the server and still land in spam or promotions. Deliverability is the share of your mail that reaches the place where a person will see it.

It depends on the reputation of the domain, the reputation of each mailbox, the records in DNS, the content of the message, and how people react to it. All five move.

We measure it continuously against real Gmail and Outlook inboxes, the same ones your prospects use, and we let the reading set the sending cap. When it dips, volume comes down before the damage is done.

That is why the infrastructure is monitored rather than configured. A domain that was healthy in week two can be in trouble in week six if the list was bad. Opens are reported with and without known proxies, and never as the lead number, because a reply is the only signal a filter cannot produce on its own.

Questions

How is placement read?

Seed inboxes on the providers your prospects use receive test mail from each mailbox and report where it landed: inbox, promotions, spam. The reading is per mailbox, daily.

What is a good deliverability rate?

The honest answer is the one on your board, per mailbox, this week. A rate quoted without a domain, a date and a provider is a target dressed as a result.
