Function mailbox
A function mailbox is a sending address named for a role or function rather than for a person, used so that outbound never relies on a fabricated human identity.
Outbound tools often suggest inventing senders: a first name, a photo, a title. It works until someone asks who that person is. A fabricated persona is a deceptive sender identity, and if the client's name is on the domain, it is the client's deception.
A function mailbox avoids the problem. The sender is a role the company actually has, the reply goes to a real inbox, and the person who eventually calls is the person who signed the message. It also keeps the compliance line clean: nothing about the sender is a claim that could be false.
Each function mailbox is warmed and capped on its own, because reputation is kept per mailbox.

Do function mailboxes get fewer replies?
Not in a way we have measured. A plain, honest sender with a message worth answering does fine. What kills replies is landing in spam, and that is decided by reputation, not by the name.
